EHS73 35TH Year Reunion Committee Meeting

February 18 (and 21st), 2008

Kathy Strukel’s house


As you know, the meeting for last week was postponed to Feb 18th due to bad weather. 

The snow finally stopped and the plows came out.  Too bad that Kathy lives on the ONLY street in Elkhart county that the street department doesn’t know exists.  This is what her street looks like a week later…

 

 

This may be one of the reasons that the plows can’t find her street… or maybe it’s why Billy was so cranky tonight.

Minutes:

·         Mostly we folded, stuffed, and addressed the invitations

o    However, someone obviously had a little challenge in the eye-hand co-ordination department.  Remedial sticker sticking class is in order, so we all had to go back to Kathy’s house on Thursday to finish up.

o    We tried using Cindy’s phone to take the picture, but no one could figure out how to send the picture from her phone.

·         We discovered that two of us were not like the others.  This might have caused some discomfort, BUT as a WHOLE, we decided to scope things out hoping that in the end everything would come out alright.  And that appears to be the case.  We (most of us) assumed the position that a picture was worth a thousand words even if we weren’t comfortable with it.  So we all (well all but two of us) had an extra large drink, swallowed the bitter pill and the ideas finally came gushing forth.   (you had to be there…)

·         With all of the folding, envelope-stuffing, labeling, peeling labels off of Cindy, alphabetizing, and  re-labeling, we didn’t get much else done.

·         Billy suggested that we contact the local TV stations to get included in the community events announcements about a month before the reunion.

·         Cindy had an update (on Thursday) from the ECC.  Looks like a $15 per person appetizer menu is going to work just fine.  I don’t remember the details, but it made me hungry.

·         There isn’t a wine bottle in existence that Jane can’t open

·         Eddie is contacting the establishments in downtown Elkhart about the pub crawl.

·         The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Kathy Strukel’s house
